I made this description for those who plan to publish a book privately.
So I thought that I would now list the main, most general steps of private book publishing, since I get a lot of questions about this.
Depending on request, I do the typesetting specifically, or if needed I take over from the finalized manuscript and help with the process all the way to printing.

the manuscript is completed
The writer finishes writing and the work is done. (In the case of private publishing, the author himself usually carries out the stylistic and other finalization.)

spelling correction
This is also called proofreading. In practice, a professional goes through the entire text and corrects typos, grammatical or other errors. This step makes the text complete.

the illustration
This is optional if the author deems it necessary. The illustrator is the one who creates the illustrations that match the content according to the author's needs.

the cover
This can be done by the illustrator or a commissioned graphic artist.

the typesetting
The typesetter/text editor consults with the author and compiles the entire book on the computer. Part of this is to create the internal appearance of the book, arranging the illustrations and text. All this in such a way that it complies with spelling, punctuation and aesthetic rules. A well-edited book is organized and aesthetic. The typesetter finalize the publication. A typesetter can prepare it either for printing or to publish as an ebook.

the printing
This point is probably the most obvious. The author negotiates directly with the printer, or tells the publisher his needs, who negotiates with the printer. The printing company receives the finalized work of the typesetter. They print it then the finished book is ready.
